Devin's Baptism

Me and Mackenzie got to fly to Phoenix on Friday, February 20th, for the weekend for Devin's baptism. It was such a fun weekend. We got to visit with Wade, Stacy, Nicholas, Luke, Devin, Emory, Dad (Tim Jernigan), and Teddy - along with Stacy's family and their friends from church. I even got to speak at the baptism, which was an honor for me. We were sad to leave on Sunday afternoon. Mackenzie especially loved playing with her cousins and wants to 'come back soon.'

Mackenzie's 6th Birthday/Valentine's/Half Marathon

This was a crazy weekend for us all. Grandma Linda and Papa Steve drove down from Arkansas for the weekend, and Wendy flew out from Charleston. We had a fun housefull. Mackenzie had a great party at Inflatable Wonderland on Valentine's Day (let's add one more thing to the mix, why don't we?) and then that night, we got a sitter and me, Dave, Wendy, and Steve (mom got sick and stayed home) :( went to the comedy club and saw a hilarous Mrs. Morgan from Tennessee. We all laughed so hard - she had me as soon as she said, "All y'all cute, young girls in your low-rise britches..." Soooo funny. THEN, the next morning, I (Wanda) ran the Austin half-marathon. I didn't make a great time, but hey, I finished! Thanks for coming out you guys. We love you!!!

More Disney Cruise Pictures...

Our beach day at St. Croix. Pirates of the Carribean dinner and deck party complete with fireworks and pirate Mickey zip-lining from smokestack to stack. The character breakfast was a big hit. The only time we got to breakfast in one of the sit-down restaurants because Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip-n-Dale were there to entertain! Our beach day in Castaway Cay, the privately owned Disney beach. The island and beaches were fanstastic. The old relic ship is actually from the Pirates movie (the one Will's dad was on).

Disney Cruise

I got a crazy idea, very last minute, to see if I could find a vacation for our family for the week Mackenzie was out of school 3 days for teacher prep. I checked Vacations To Go and found this last minute deal on the Disney Magic. So, 10 days before departure I booked the trip. We even found great, cheap flights out to Orlando. It seemed like the stars aligned for us to go on the trip. So we took off Friday, Jan. 30th for Orlando and boarded the boat Sat. Jan. 31st. We cruised from Port Canaveral to St. Croix, then St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay in the Bahamas. We also had 3 days at sea. We flew back on Saturday, February 7th. It was a great trip. But truth be told, it was exhausting for me and Dave. Hopefully our next family vacation will be less tiring! We even got to fly with the Lannans and the Hares out to Orlando. They were going on the 4 day cruise and were going to the parks the other days. Here's Mackenzie with Brynn and Trisha.

Christmas 2009

Somehow this post got ignored, overlooked, or forgotten. But we had lots of fun, including a week trip to Utah. So here it is. Opening presents at home Christmas day. Playing in the snow at Grandma Cooper's complete with cousins and snow angels. The Cooper family Christmas gathering and Dave's bday celebration. Mackenzie's FIRST SKI TRIP!!! She did great. We went to Deer Valley and she stayed all day long. Dave and I got to ski while she took her lesson. Next pictures are us all at the Gateway in SLC before we left to return to Texas.

Madison turns 3!!!

So unbelieveable: our baby just turned 3 on January 19th. We had a family dinner and party with chocolate cupcakes - just like she wanted. And then she opened presents. With Mackenzie's help, of course. Love you Madi!!!

Dave's 40th Birthday

Dave turned 40 on January 5th, 2009, but we celebrated A LOT! In Utah after Christmas, we had a dinner at the Melting Pot with friends, a family reunion/bday celebration with cake and games, and a dinner out with Steve and Katie Christensen to the Cheesecake Factory. Then, when we got back to Texas, Jill babysat and I took Dave out on an overnight stay to the Four Seasons downtown in Austin. We had dinner out and saw Esther's Follies. The next day we hung out, drove around to Mt Bonnell, and enjoyed the amazing sunshine. THEN, on Sunday the 4th, Dave's best friend Kevin Cloutier, flew in from LA as a surprise for his birthday. We took Kevin to the Oasis and on Monday Dave ditched work and he and Kevin went out and did guy stuff. That night we all celebrated as a family at the Cheesecake Factory (can you guess which restaurant is a Dave-favorite?) and Kevin flew home early Tuesday, the 6th. What an awesome friend!!!
